While we're waiting for the next round of roses to bloom......

I found a small someone stalking my garden this morning: (Click for a really cool close-up.)

A few months ago I bought a mantis egg case at the nursery, but unceremoniously tossed it aside into the mint abyss after it rattled when I shook it. Thought everyone was dead. Apparently not!

And I guess he's not alone:

I knew someone was snacking on my sunflowers!
